For Toast-integrated accounts, it is now possible to use a combination of Sling’s time clock and Toast POS to clock in and out of shifts. Time entries will now sync from Toast to Sling and Sling to Toast.

These are tooltips that point out an issue with a timesheet. If you hover over the exclamation point, you will see the cause of the issue. Timesheets and shifts displaying this tooltip will not sync to Toast.

With this feature, you may notice red exclamation points on some of your Sling timesheets.

Possible reasons include:

  • The employee doesn’t exist in Toast

    • Employee doesn't exist in Toast, time entry will not be synced

  • The location doesn’t exist in Toast

    • Location doesn't exist in Toast, time entry will not be synced

  • The employee isn’t assigned to the location in Toast

    • Employee isn't assigned to this location in Toast, time entry will not be synced

  • The position doesn’t exist in Toast for the location

    • Position doesn't exist in Toast, time entry will not be synced

  • The position exists in Toast, but isn’t assigned to that Employee at the Location

    • Employee isn't assigned to this position in this location in Toast, time entry will not be synced

For example, if the position associated with the timesheet doesn’t exist in Toast, a tooltip will be displayed. If you hover your cursor over the tooltip, it will show the cause of the issue.
