Sling now includes an option for users to export conversations that they are a part of so that they can download a digital copy for their records.
Here are the steps to follow for exporting a conversation in Sling using the web app.
Access the conversation that you wish to export.
Click the option dots for the conversation at the top right of the opened thread.
Select the option to Export, and indicate the required fields.
Indicate the date range that you need to export from the conversation and note that a maximum of 30 days' history is available to download at once.
Note that Sling can consider expanded file types in the future, but currently recognizes Plain text, .xls, and .csv file types.
Sling will process the download and let you know when the file is ready.
When the file is ready, you'll see a green message appear near your name in the upper right of the page. You can find the file by looking at your download folder for the device.
