With the integration between Sling and Toast, your schedule is automatically sent to Toast every hour. You can use this information to prevent early clock-in/out on your POS.
How to enable the schedule reinforcement feature:
Go on your Toast account, and look for "UI options" under "Other Setup."
2. Scroll down to the "Time Clock" section and enable the "Enforce Scheduling" option.
3. Save & Publish your changes.
How to adjust schedule reinforcement settings:
1. Go back to the main page on Toast and then go to "Scheduling" under "Labor"
2. From there, you can adjust your preferences in terms of early clock-in/out and late clock-in/out.
Q: What happens if an employee clocks-in too early or without a scheduled shift?
A: A manager will need to enter their PIN on Toast POS to approve this unscheduled shift. The timesheet will be imported on Sling as an unscheduled timesheet.

A: A manager will need to enter their PIN on Toast POS to approve this clock-in/out. The timesheet will be imported on Sling and remain linked to the scheduled shift.
Q: Why do some of the shifts sent to Toast not have a job attached?
A: This happens when the position of the shift exists as a job on Toast but doesn't match with the jobs linked to this employee. Make sure your employees have the same positions on Sling and Toast.
Q: Why are some of the shifts not sent to Toast?
A: This happens when the position of the shift in Sling does not exist as a job on Toast. It is recommended that you create new positions on Toast first, and then sync them with Sling.
