Premium and Business accounts have the option to mark any date as closed on the calendar. This helps in letting your employees know of days they will be off and prevents other admins and managers from scheduling unnecessary shifts.
Please note: If a manager types a note on a Day Note, they can delete it or edit it. If an admin types a note on a Day Note, a manager cannot edit or delete it. Managers cannot edit notes typed by other managers. Managers also cannot delete or edit any options selected (Time off requests not allowed, Business closed, Apply holiday pay) even if they marked this themselves. Only admins can make these changes.
From the website:
To mark a day as closed from the website, you'll have to be in the Day or Week view.
From the Day view, click the + icon near the top left of the Schedule page.
In the Week view, hover your cursor over a date to see the + option.
A new window will pop up where you can choose to mark the day as closed.
Please note: At this time, it is not possible to indicate that only one location is closed on the schedule if your account has more than one location saved to it. When only one of your company's locations is closed, you can add a note in the note field, which will display when users check the details on the schedule.
Click Save after you have added all the details you need to the closed note, and the day will now show with a darkened background as an indication that no shifts or time off need to be scheduled.
When you hover over the i symbol next to the day's date, you will see a bubble with the closed note's info.
From the mobile app:
Go to the shifts tab, then tap the date you want to mark as closed.
A menu will pop up. Choose Day options.
Switch the toggle on for Business closed, then tap Save.
The day is now marked as closed in the calendar view.
