Shifts within a recurrence series can be edited to be reassigned to a different employee.
From the web app
First, click on the first shift in the recurrence the change should apply to. In the shift details window that pops up, click the Edit shift button.
On the next screen, click the small “x” by the assigned employee’s name to remove them.
Click in the Employee field again to choose a new assignee.
If the shift was already published, you should see that the publish option is set to Yes. To publish the change and notify the employees, just click Save.
Note that this will publish all future shifts in the recurrence (based on the next step), so you may want to revert the shift to an unpublished state, here.
You will then get a prompt asking whether to apply the change to just this shift or all future shifts. Select All future shifts and they will all be reassigned.
If you elect to unpublish the recurrence, the employee originally assigned to it will get a notification that they have been unassigned. The newly assigned employee will not be notified until you publish the shifts.
From the mobile app
Go to the shifts tab and tap on the first shift in the recurrence the change should apply to.
In the shift details window, tap the options button (3 dots), then tap Edit shift.
Scroll down until you see the employee field and tap it.
Tap the existing employee's name to uncheck it, then choose the new employee. Tap Add at the top right.
Confirm the details of the shift, then tap Save.
Choose whether to publish the change or make it unpublished (save as draft).
Note that choosing "publish" will publish all future shifts in the recurrence (based on the next step), so you may want to revert the shift to an unpublished state, here.
Finally, you'll be asked whether to apply the change to just this shift or all future shifts. Choose all future shifts to reassign all to the new employee.
