Here at Sling, we aim to bring you the most robust employee scheduling and management tools available. Since Sling was first launched, we have never limited the number of users on free accounts.

Accounts using a free Sling subscription that are not associated with Toast POS will soon be limited to 50 users. Free accounts with fewer than 50 users will not experience any changes, unless they attempt to add a 51st user. Free accounts with more than 50 users will be prompted to upgrade to Sling Premium or Business if they attempt to add any more users.

Why are we making this change?

The effort required to maintain Sling’s user database is large. This change will help us cut maintenance costs and allow us to prioritize improving Sling for everyone.

What does this mean for your account?

If your account has fewer than 50 users in total, nothing is changing for you right now. If you attempt to add a 51st user, you will be prompted to either remove an existing user or upgrade to a Sling Premium or Business subscription.

If your account is currently on our Free plan, and has more than 50 users in total, you may continue to use your account as it is. However, you will not be able to add additional users unless you upgrade to Sling Premium or Business.
