For accounts that are integrated with another application, Sling now includes an option to merge duplicate user profiles. This will help to ensure that the integration works properly and that the partner account recognizes the user details that the two programs communicate about.

Please note that the option to merge duplicate profiles is only available for accounts that were or are currently integrated with another platform.

When you notice that there is more than one profile for an employee within your Employees page, you can select the option dots for one of them, and then select "Merge." Only admins have the option to merge profiles.

Sling will then prompt you to select the other profile with which you would like to combine details. Click to select the other name from the dropdown options, and then click the blue Merge button to complete the process.

Please note that the profile you are merging one into is the one that will be retained. Select to merge the one you don't need to keep.

Voila! The duplicate is now combined with the profile that the integration partner can recognize according to the details that were imported from your synced account.

If you notice after merging that a duplicate profile shows up again for the same employee, this indicates that there is a duplicate on the platform, and the extraneous profile will need to be deleted or deactivated from the integrated platform before the duplicate can be addressed in your Sling account.

You can follow the same process for duplicate Locations or Positions as well! Make sure to merge into the location or position that was imported from your integrated platform, as this will be the one that the integration can recognize. If you are unsure which location or position was imported, or if you notice that there are profiles merged that should not be, please contact help@getsling.com for assistance.
