Once you've joined your company's Sling account, you have the option to change the email address that you use to log in. This will also change where you receive any email notifications you receive from Sling.
Note that once a user has joined a company's Sling account, Admin can no longer change an email address for them. Only the user themselves can make this change, since email updating is password protected.
To access your profile using the web version of Sling, click on your name in the upper right corner of the page, and then select "Profile" from the dropdown menu.
Once you are on the profile page, you can edit the email address simply by typing the new address into the appropriate field.
Once you begin typing in the email field, a password box appears below. You'll need to enter your current password in order to continue with this update.
After the correct email has been entered, and you've entered your password as well, don't forget to click "Save" at the bottom of the screen, or else your changes will not stick.
When you click "Save," Sling will generate an automatic email that is sent to the new address that you entered. In order for an email change to take effect, the user will need to click the link in the verification email they receive. If you do not verify the new email address, then the old one will still appear in the profile page, and be the one needed for login.
In order to change your email from the Sling phone app, follow these steps.
Tap your profile picture and then "Edit profile," or access your profile from the More tab.
Once you are looking at your profile details, you can edit them by tapping "Edit" in the upper right corner.
Type in the new email address you wish to save to your profile. Once you do so, you will see the option to "Save" in the upper right corner.
Remember to tap "Save," or your changes will not stick.
You will then need to verify the new email address by responding to an email from Sling at the new address you entered. Click the link provided in the verification email you receive, or the change you made will not take effect.
If you do not see the email from Sling, you may need to check your spam or junk folder. Sometimes messages generated by Sling end up in one of those folders instead of your main inbox.
