Check out this quick overview on setting up the integration between Sling and Gusto:
Connect your Gusto account to Sling to sync your time-tracking information with payroll. This includes regular hours, overtime, double overtime, and sick or vacation hours. You can also import employee info into Sling.
Note: You will need to have the Business subscription of Sling to export payroll to Gusto.
Note: It's only possible to have one location from Gusto connected to Sling.
Note: Only a user with full admin access on the Gusto account can set up the integration.
Note: Gusto can only recognize the job titles (positions in Sling) that are assigned to employees in your Gusto account. Please ensure that schedulers are only using the positions in Sling that match the job titles assigned to employees in Gusto to create shifts for your staff.

How to export payroll information from Sling to Gusto
In order to export payroll information from Sling to Gusto, you will need to push your employees' hours through the Sling payroll report:
Click Reports in the navigation header.
Click Payroll
Set the date range to Payroll
Click on the Export button and select “Export to Gusto”.
Your Timesheets will now appear in the Run Payroll section of your Gusto account.
You can export as many times as you want – each export overrides the last one, so if you make a mistake or add a Timecard late, you can export again.
We only export data for hourly employees.
FAQs
Q: I synced the payroll report to Gusto and got a success message, but my hours aren't showing in Gusto.
A: Hours are synced based on positions, so the ones used to schedule and track time in Sling must match those listed for an employee in Gusto. Additionally, the hours are pushed directly to payroll in Gusto, so you won't see them under the time tracking section.
Q: What happens if an employee’s information is updated after the employee was synced?
A: If the employee in Gusto is updated after a sync, you will have to wait for the next sync or trigger one manually (every 15 minutes)
Q: Does the integration support multiple pay jobs?
A: Yes.
Q: Can the payroll export be automated?
A: No. We want managers to do a final review of timesheets first and foremost before sending information to payroll.
