How do I set up salaries?

Learn how to add a salary to an employee's profile

If you have some employees who earn a salary instead of an hourly rate, it is possible to reflect it on Sling in order to have accurate labor cost on your schedule and reports. This option is only available with our Business plan.


To set a salary for an employee:

  1. Go to the profile of your employee

  2. Click the Wages tab

  3. Click on Pay type and select Annual Salary

  4. Click the 3-dot option, then select Add rate

  5. Select the location and position the salary should be associated with and type in the yearly rate

  6. Click Save and it's done 


Sling applies the salary amount equally over the days of the year from the effective date for reporting purposes. Moreover, there can only be one salary at a time.
