Employee Time Off

Learn how to interact with the time off feature as an employee

Request Time Off

If you do not see the request button on the web or the options button in the app, your admin may have disabled the time off feature. Please reach out to them for assistance in adding time off to your schedule.

From the web:

Go to the Schedule tab and click the Request time off button at the top right.

You can also find the date on the calendar and hover your mouse to see a + icon appear.

In the pop-up window, fill in the details of your request. If your company has enabled PTO, you will have the option to choose the type of request (sick, vacation, personal, holiday, etc) and also see how many remaining days or hours you have left for the type.

Set the dates and or times of your request and add a comment, if desired. When the details are correct, click the Send request button.

From the mobile app:

Tap the Shifts tab, then tap the options button at the top right and choose request time off.

On the next screen, enter the details for your request. When you're ready to submit it, tap Save at the top right.

You will be taken to the main Shifts screen, and a confirmation message will show across the bottom to let you know the request was submitted. Your manager will receive a notification of the request and can approve or deny it.

You can also review the details of your request along with its status on your shifts tab.

Once your manager reviews the request, you will get a notification of their decision, whether approved or denied.


Cancel Time Off

From the web:

You can delete a time off request that you submitted by clicking on the request on the calendar under your Schedule, and then clicking the option to delete it:

From the mobile app:

You can delete a time off request by going to your Shifts tab, tapping the time off request that is pending, and then using the 3 dots in the upper right corner to access the option to delete:


Review Time Off Requests

Once you submit a time off request, you will be able to see it on the schedule, as long as you have not filtered time off requests out of view.

From the web:

You can find your time off requests through the Schedule tab under either the Full Schedule or My Schedule tabs.

From the mobile app:

Go to the Shifts tab and then select either the Full Schedule or My Schedule tab. Then find the date for which you submitted the request, and you'll see a gray block for the request, like so:

When a time off request is still pending approval, it will be indicated on the time off block, as demonstrated below:


Remaining PTO

As an employee, you may wonder how many days you have available to use for paid time off requests.

From the web:

You can see these details if you pull up a time off request modal and click the type of time off:

From the mobile app:

You can see the details for how much PTO you have available by clicking on the details for the time off type.

Once you tap to request time off, tap to view the time off types, and you will see the same list there:

If you do not see the option to request paid time off, then your employer may not have that option available or may have disabled the time off request function. For questions about your company's policies for time off, be sure to contact your employer.
