From the website:

If you have a large list of employees, you can import them to Sling using an existing XLS or CSV file.

Go to Dashboard > Employees and click the Import employees button, then click Import from file.

You can browse for the file or drag and drop it into the box with the dotted outline.

The next step allows you to label the columns in your file. The data that can be imported is limited to:

  • Full name - OR -

  • First name and

  • Last name

  • Employee ID

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Location

  • Position

  • Employee base wage

Note that a maximum of 8 columns can be defined when importing a file. If there are more, you will receive an error.

You can also choose whether to send the invitations at the same time or delay inviting your employees until later.

Finish by clicking the Import employees button and they will be uploaded to your employee roster within Sling.

From the mobile app:

In the mobile app, you can import contacts, but only one at a time

Tap the More icon, then choose Employees.

Tap the + icon at the top right and choose Import from phonebook.

Choose the contact you would like to add.

Confirm their details. You can then assign an employee ID, locations, positions, groups, system role, and more. Before saving, be sure to choose whether or not to invite them to join the account.

Tap Save and they will be added to your account.
